CNL HEALTHCARE PROPERTIES ANNOUNCES PUBLIC OFFERING
-- Company seeks to raise $1 billion by years end --
(ORLANDO, Fla.) Feb. 2, 2015 CNL Healthcare Properties, a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on senior housing and healthcare facilities, announced today that it has launched a follow-on offering of its common stock. The company seeks to raise up to $1 billion in capital through a best-efforts public offering.
CNL Healthcare Properties invests in senior housing communities and healthcare assets across the United States, and currently owns 100 properties. The company intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to invest in additional healthcare and senior housing properties. The offering is scheduled to close on Dec. 31, 2015, although the board of directors can extend the offering at its discretion.
The registration statement relating to these securities has been declared effective by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
