On January 13, 2015, Mr. Donald W. Seale provided the Board of Directors notice of his intent to retire from his position as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Norfolk Southern effective March 1, 2015. Norfolk Southern issued a Press Release on January 13, 2015, announcing this action and stated that the NS Board of Directors will name his successor at a later time. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
