Item 8.01. Other Events
On September 5, 2017, Firsthand Technology Value Fund, Inc. (a Company) issued a press release announcing that Roku, a Fund holding since 2015, has filed its plans to go public through an initial public offering (“IPO”). The number of shares and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined, and there can be no assurances whether the offering will be completed or of market conditions at the time of any such offering. Roku has applied for listing on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol “ROKU”. The Company's press release issued September 5, 2017 is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
