Item 5.02.
Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

Resignation of Thomas B Sloan, Jr.

Thomas B Sloan, Jr., Vice President, Corporate Controller, and Principal Accounting Officer of Tesco Corporation (the "Company"), tendered his resignation on July 3, 2017 to be effective July 14, 2017. The resignation was not related to any disagreements with the Company on any matter relating to its operations, policies, practices or any issues regarding financial disclosures, accounting, or legal matters.
 
The Company intends to appoint a permanent Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer as soon as practicable. Christopher L. Boone, the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will fulfill the duties of the Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer until a permanent officer is named.
