(b) On January 23, 2015, Alexza Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that James V. Cassella’s employment with the Company would be ending effective as of January 30, 2015. Dr. Cassella is currently the Company’s Executive Vice President, Research and Development, and Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Cassella’s resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices, or regarding the general direction of the Company.
