Digital Power Corporation Reports Financial Results for the Third Quarter Ended September 30, 2014

FREMONT, Calif., November 13, 2014, Digital Power Corporation (NYSE MKT: DPW - News ) today announced financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014.

Digital Power’s revenues for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014 were $2,231,000, an increase of 7% from revenue of $2,087,000 for the same quarter ended September 30, 2013, which resulted mainly from an increased level of defense-related shipments. Net loss for the quarter ended on September 30, 2014 was $150,000, a decrease of 40% from the loss of $252,000 for the quarter ended on September 30, 2013, principally the result of the higher revenues. Gross margin in the third quarter ended September 30, 2014 was 33%, the same as reported in the third quarter ended September 30, 2013. Operating expenses were comparable in the quarters ended September 30, 2014 and September 30, 2013, respectively, although significantly higher stock option expenses ($41,000) were incurred in the quarter ended September 30, 2014 compared to the quarter ended September 30, 2013 which were offset by lower legal and outside purchased services costs.

Commenting on the results, President and CEO, Amos Kohn, stated: “Although we continue to realize stronger defense related shipments from our European operation in the current fiscal year as compared to last, our commercial product portfolio continues to lag behind expectations in terms of orders and shipments. Our efforts to further develop our product line offerings and geographical sales coverage are still in process with the hope that improvements in our revenue realization rate will follow in future quarters.”

Mr. Kohn continued, “We continue to pursue our strategic plan of developing complete customized power solutions and enhancing our standard product portfolio with innovative, high density and efficient power supplies at ever increasing power levels. The focus on a complete solution for power applications is well received by our major telecom, medical, military and industrial customers.
