On April 4, 2014, ESSA Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the completion of its acquisition of Franklin Security Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiary, Franklin Security Bank. A copy of the press release dated April 4, 2014, announcing the completion of the acquisition is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
