Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 13, 2014, PDL BioPharma, Inc. (the Company) issued a press release announcing its retention of an advisor to the Company to assist with the identification and evaluation of income generating asset acquisition opportunities. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
