GEOSPACE TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES RECEIPT OF ORDERS FOR THREE GSX WIRELESS RECORDING SYSTEMS TOTALING 49,000 CHANNELS

Houston, Texas - November 15, 2013 - Geospace Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: GEOS) today announced the receipt of orders from a customer for three of its GSX wireless recording systems totaling 49,000 channels. The orders include both single-channel and three channel recording stations and related equipment. Delivery of these orders, together totaling $29.4 million, is expected to occur in the company's first quarter ending December 31, 2013.

Geospace Technologies Corporation designs and manufactures instruments and equipment used by the oil and gas industry to acquire seismic data in order to locate, characterize and monitor hydrocarbon producing reservoirs. The company also designs and manufactures non-seismic products, including industrial products, offshore cables, thermal printing equipment and film.
