Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 10, 2013, Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc. (the "Company") announced that its Board of Directors approved a three-for-one stock split by means of a stock dividend (the "Split") of the Company's common stock. As a result of the Split, stockholders of the Company will receive two additonal shares of the Company's common stock for every one share held at the close of business on July 1, 2013. The additional shares will be distributed on or about Augsut 1, 2013. A copy of the press release announcing the Split is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
