(b) Departure of Officer
On October 1, 2012, Mr. Robert L. Kayl gave notice of his decision to resign from his position as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Accounting Officer of Tesco Corporation (the “Company”) for personal reasons. In order to ensure an orderly transition of his responsibilities, Mr. Kayl's resignation will be effective following the date on which the Company files its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year-ending December 31, 2012, which is expected to occur in early March 2013. The Company's search for his successor is expected to be launched as soon as practicable.
