Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On January 6, 2012 Double Eagle Petroleum Co. issued a press release entitled “Double Eagle Petroleum Co. Updates 2011 Exploration and Development Projects” The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.2.
Beginning on January 9, 2012, and at other times thereafter, Double Eagle Petroleum Co. (the “Company”) intends to present or distribute a PowerPoint slide presentation entitled “Double Eagle Petroleum Co. Sidoti & Company Semi-Annual New York Microcap Conference” to various institutions, funds, and sophisticated investors. The PowerPoint slide presentation is accessible on the Company’s website at www.dble.com, and is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto. The Company undertakes no obligation to update, supplement or amend the materials attached as Exhibit 99.1.
