WESTERN REFINING BEGINS STARTUP OF ITS EL PASO REFINERY

EL PASO, Texas - February 14, 2011 – Western Refining, Inc. (NYSE: WNR) announced today that its El Paso refinery began starting various units late last week and anticipates returning to normal operation later this week.  The El Paso refinery experienced damage and interruption to its operations due to record-breaking low temperatures and interruptions to its electrical supply beginning February 2, 2011.
