Item 8.01 Other Events

Cardinal Ethanol, LLC (the "Company") has been operating at an ethanol production rate of approximately 140 million gallons annually which is approximately 40% above the nameplate capacity for the plant.  The Company has decided to reduce its ethanol production rate by approximately 20% for the foreseeable future.  The Company believes that this reduction is warranted due to current unfavorable operating conditions in the ethanol industry and a slowdown in global and regional economic activity resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic that have contributed to negative operating margins.  Limiting ethanol production is expected to result in a corresponding decrease in distillers grains and corn oil production.
