On January 22, 2020, Akcea Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) announced positive topline results from the Phase 2 study of AKCEA-APOCIII-LRx in the treatment of patients with hypertriglyceridemia who are at risk for or have established cardiovascular disease. A copy of the press release is attached to this Report as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
