Aleris to be Acquired by Novelis . On July 26, announced that Aleris entered an agreement to be acquired by Novelis Inc. for approximately $2.6B, including assumption of outstanding indebtedness – $775M in cash plus the assumption of debt – Earn-out linked to achievement beyond base business plan during CY18-20 for North America with cumulative cap of $50M . Transaction includes all global facilities of Aleris .
