Subject: An Exciting New Chapter for Cavium

Dear Valued Customer,

I am excited to share with you that earlier today we announced an agreement to combine with Marvell Technology Group Ltd. A copy of the press release is available on our website.

This is an extremely exciting combination. Both companies have strong product portfolios serving our end markets. Combining our complementary products will provide scale and will enable even better world-class end-to-end solutions in the markets we serve, it will diversify our revenue base and end markets and will provide for a larger pool of R&D for new product development, and it will create an even more powerful best-in-class financial model. I believe the combination of our two companies will accelerate our vision of innovation and creates tremendous opportunities for all Cavium customers and partners.

Today’s announcement is the first of many steps in a lengthy process, and we do not expect the transaction to be completed for several months. Until the transaction is completed, Cavium and Marvell will continue to operate as independent companies. During this time, the transaction will remain seamless to you and very little will change in our interactions. We remain committed to be your trusted partner and maintaining the integrity of our relationship with you by continuing to provide you with the service you have come to expect.

We hope you share in our excitement, and we will continue to keep you updated on our plans as we proceed with the integration process. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your Cavium contact with any questions. We thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Milt Douglass
