Item 8.01. OTHER EVENTS.
On July 11, 2017, MidSouth Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that it completed the sale of 516,700 shares of its common stock, par value $0.10 per share, pursuant to the partial exercise of the option to purchase additional shares granted to Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. in connection with the Company’s recent public offering.
A copy of the Company’s press release, dated July 11, 2017, is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
