Explanatory Note
This report amends Item 8.01 of the Current Report on Form 8-K filed on April 18, 2016 (the “Original Filing”), solely to correct an error identified in the press release filed as Exhibit 99.1 to the Original Filing.

On April 18, 2016, Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its previously announced private exchange offer had closed. The Company has identified an error in the press release. The second word in the second sentence of the fourth paragraph is revised to change “annual” to “semi-annual.”
