Item 8.01.                            Other Events.

On April 16, 2015, Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Pacira”) announced that it received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, requiring the production of a broad range of documents pertaining to marketing and promotional practices related to the product EXPAREL® (bupivacaine liposome injectable suspension).  Pacira intends to cooperate with the government’s investigation.  Pacira can make no assurances as to the time or resources that will need to be devoted to this inquiry or its final outcome, or the impact, if any, of this inquiry or any proceedings on Pacira’s business, financial condition, results of operations and cash flows.
