Item 8.01Other Events.

 

On February 27, 2015 First National Community Bank (the “Bank”), the wholly-owned bank subsidiary of First National Community Bancorp, Inc., reached a settlement with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network to resolve certain Bank Secrecy Act allegations based on events that transpired a number of years ago involving former Luzerne County Judge Michael Conahan. In order to settle this matter, the Bank has consented to an aggregate civil money penalty assessment of $1.5 million, which the Bank will reserve for in its 2014 financial results.
