On November 11, 2014, the Board of Directors of GT Advanced Technologies Inc. (the "Company") appointed Daniel Squiller to the position of Executive Vice President, Industrial Systems. In connection with this appointment, the role of Chief Operating Officer of the Company was eliminated effective as of November 11, 2014. As Executive Vice President, Industrial Systems, Mr. Squiller will manage the Company’s research and development and commercialization efforts with respect to the Hyperion ion implantation product line and the Company’s specialty sapphire business. There will be no change to Mr. Squiller’s compensation as a result of changing his position with the Company.
