On October 23, 2014, Eastern Virginia Bankshares, Inc. (the “Company”), the one bank holding company of EVB, Tappahannock, Virginia, and Virginia Company Bank (“VCB”) jointly issued a press release (the “Press Release”) announcing the approval by the shareholders of VCB of the Company’s acquisition of VCB and the merger of VCB with and into EVB with EVB surviving.
A copy of the Press Release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
