Item 8.01. Other Events. Announcement of Succession Planning.
On October 1, 2014, Glacier Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Company has retained a leading executive search firm to advise the Company’s Board of Directors on potential internal and external candidates for a successor to Michael J. Blodnick as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Blodnick has advised the Board of Directors well in advance of his intention to retire from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer.
A copy of the press release announcing the CEO succession planning process is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
