ITEM 8.01. OTHER EVENTS
On September 26, 2014, M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. announced that it will redeem all of its outstanding 5.375% Senior Notes due 2015, which total $250 million, on October 27, 2014. The 2015 Notes will be redeemed pursuant to their optional redemption provisions. A copy of the press release dated September 26, 2014 related to the announcement of the redemption is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
