Item 8.01 Other Events.
On July 1, 2014, Symetra Financial Corporation completed the process of redomesticating its principal life insurance subsidiary, Symetra Life Insurance Company, from Washington to Iowa. A copy of the press release announcing the completion of the redomestication is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
