On August 1, 2013, Michael M. Kitt, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Portola Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Portola”), informed Portola that he is resigning as an employee and executive officer of Portola effective August 16, 2013.
