Item 8.01 Other Events.
Medivation, Inc. today announced that its alliance partner Astellas Pharma Inc. informed Medivation that in accordance with Tokyo Stock Exchange rules, Astellas will be reporting financial results for its fiscal quarter ending September 30, 2012 at 1:00am Eastern Time on Thursday, November 1, 2012 which will include net sales of XTANDI® (enzalutamide) capsules for the quarter and guidance on anticipated net sales of XTANDI for Astellas’ fiscal year ending March 31, 2013. Simultaneously with Astellas’ release of this information, Medivation will disclose this information through an 8K filing. Medivation will report its own financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 on November 9, 2012.
