Heading Towards Water Bankruptcy Total global water demand is doubling every 20 years Half of the world’s population is expected to suffer from severe water shortages by 2050 In the U.S., much of our water infrastructure was built 50100 years ago. Layne has initiated smallscale projects with major operators in the Permian and Marcellus. EnergyWater Market Layne Solution Sourcing Hydrology, drilling, and construction capability to identify, evaluate, and develop optimal water sources, including groundwater, surface water, or recycled industrial wastewater.
