Item 5.02.     Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
 
(c) As previously disclosed, on November 16, 2011, Tropicana Entertainment Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Anthony P. Rodio to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer, subject to receipt of required regulatory approvals. As of February 16, 2012, Mr. Rodio had received the regulatory approvals necessary to assume his new titles as President and Chief Operating Officer for the Company. Additional regulatory approvals regarding Mr. Rodio's appointment are ongoing in certain jurisdictions.


Item 7.01    Regulation FD Disclosure.

On February 16, 2012, Tropicana Entertainment Inc. (“Tropicana” or the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that Mr. Rodio had received the regulatory approvals necessary to assume his new titles as President and Chief Operating Officer for the Company. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
