IHS Reaffirms 2011 and 2012 Financial Guidance; Will Host
Full Year 2011 Earnings Conference Call on January 6, 2012

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (December 6, 2011) - IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS), the leading global source of information and analysis, is reaffirming its 2011 and 2012 revenue and adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) guidance. The company plans to publicly reaffirm that earnings guidance in a previously announced conference presentation to be made today.

As discussed on the company's November 3, 2011 conference call, IHS expects 2011 all-in revenue in a range of $1.307 billion to $1.337 billion and all-in adjusted EBITDA in a range of $399 million to $407 million. For the year ending November 30, 2012, IHS expects all-in revenue in a range of $1.50 billion to $1.55 billion and adjusted EBITDA in a range of $480 million to $495 million.

IHS completed its fiscal year on November 30, 2011 and will report its results for the year on January 6, 2012, before the open of market. In conjunction with the earnings release, investors will have the opportunity to listen to IHS senior management review its fourth quarter and full year 2011 results via conference call and webcast on January 6, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. EST.
