5 FuelCell Energy – Technology Overview Fuel cells cleanly and efficiently convert energy in hydrogen rich fuels into electricity and high quality heat The highly efficient electrochemical process emits negligible pollutants since there is no burning of fuel A fuel cell stack is comprised of many individual cells grouped together.
