Item 8.01 Other Events

The Board of Directors of Summit Financial Group, Inc. (the “Company”) recently authorized a stock repurchase program of up to 750,000 shares of the Company’s outstanding common stock subject to applicable laws of the states and applicable securities rules and regulations promulgated pursuant to the laws of the United States, including, but not limited to, Rule 10b-5 and Rule 10b-18 of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Shares repurchased will be made in management’s discretion at prices management considers to be attractive and in the best interests of both the Company and its shareholders, subject to the availability of shares, general market conditions, the trading price of the shares, alternative uses for capital and the Company’s financial performance.

The program does not obligate the Company to purchase any particular number of shares of common stock during any period and the program may be discontinued, suspended, or restarted at any time at the Company's discretion.
