Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.


The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (the “Bank”) has named Michael A. Ericson to the new position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank, effective January 10, 2020.

Mr. Ericson, 48, formerly served as Executive Vice President and Group Head, Members and Markets, a position he’s held since July 2014. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of the Bank starting in July 2008, and Executive Vice President starting in December 2008. Mr. Ericson joined the Bank in January 2005 as Senior Vice President of Accounting Policy and SEC Reporting.
