Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure
The information contained in this Current Report on Form 8-K (including Exhibit 99.1 attached hereto) is being furnished by Ellington Financial Inc. (the "Company") pursuant to Item 7.01 of Form 8-K in satisfaction of the public disclosure requirements of Regulation FD.
On January 8, 2020, the Company issued a press release announcing its estimated book value per common share as of December 31, 2019. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.

On January 8, 2020, the Company issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors had declared a dividend of $0.15 per common share. The dividend will be paid on February 25, 2020 to stockholders of record on January 31, 2020. A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on Form 8-K and the information related to the dividend is incorporated herein by reference.
