Item 8.01 Other Events

On December 17, 2019, First Choice Bancorp (the “Company” or “First Choice”) (NASDAQ: FCBP), the holding company of First Choice Bank (the “Bank”), issued a press release announcing that the Bank has received the highest available rating, “Outstanding,” during its most recent examination by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (“FRB”), the Bank’s primary federal banking regulator, for its achievements in meeting the credit needs of the communities in which the Bank operates, including low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods, under the Community Reinvestment Act (“CRA”).
