Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On December 28, 2018, James G. Sartori, a director of Meridian Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) and its wholly owned subsidiary, East Boston Savings Bank (the “Bank”), informed the Company and the Bank of his retirement from the boards of directors of the Company and the Bank effective December 31, 2018 in accordance with bylaw provisions requiring retirement in the calendar year in which the director reaches age 75.
