Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On December 19, 2018, the Board of Directors of Rent-A-Center, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Maureen B. Short to serve as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer in lieu of her current position as the Company’s interim Chief Financial Officer, which appointment was effective on December 19, 2018. The compensatory arrangements for Ms. Short while she was the Company’s interim Chief Financial Officer remain in effect and will continue to apply as she serves as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer.
