Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

Retirement of Vice President of Operations
On November 9, 2018, John H. Strine, Vice President of Operations of The York Water Company ("the Company"), notified the Company of his intent to retire on March 1, 2019. John Strine has been with the Company since 1976 and has served as Vice President of Operations since 2009. He will continue to perform the duties of his position and participate in the benefits outlined in the Company's Proxy Statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 23, 2018, until his retirement.
Upon John Strine's retirement, in accordance with its succession plan, Martin L. Strine will assume the duties of this position. Martin Strine is the Operations Manager and has held various positions within the Company since 2002.
