Item 5.02
Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On September 15, 2018, Viet D. Dinh notified LPL Financial Holdings Inc. (the “Company”) of his resignation from the board of directors of the Company (the “Board”), effective immediately. Mr. Dinh’s resignation from the Board resulted from his appointment as the chief legal and policy officer of new “Fox,” the company expected to be spun off in the merger of Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc. and The Walt Disney Company, and was not the result of any disagreement with the Company.
