Item 8.01 Other Events.

On August 16, 2018, Merchants Bancorp (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Company’s Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.06 per share on the Company’s outstanding shares of common stock. The dividend is payable October 1, 2018 to shareholders of record on September 15, 2018. The press release has been attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
