Item 7.01

Regulation FD Disclosure

On July 31, 2018, The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. (“Greenbrier”) issued the press release attached as Exhibit 99.1 announcing that Gunderson Marine LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Greenbrier, has signed a contract with Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc. (“OSG”) for the construction of one 204,000 barrel capacity oil and chemical tank barge, with an option for OSG to order a second barge. Delivery of the barge is anticipated in the second calendar quarter of 2020, with delivery of the optional barge, if ordered, anticipated in the fourth calendar quarter of 2020.
