Item 8.01 Other Events.

 

On July 5, 2018, Gulf Resources, Inc. (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing anticipated further delay in the opening of its bromine plants in light of new rules jointly issued by various provincial government agencies in Shandong Province (the “Notice”) forwarded by the Weifang City Special Operations Leading Group Office of Safe Production, Transformation and Upgrading of Chemical Industry (the “Notice”).

 

A copy of the press release and an English summary translation of the Notice are furnished as Exhibits 99.1 and 99.2 hereto.
