On June 28, 2018, BB&T Corporation announced that the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System accepted its capital plan and did not object to its proposed capital actions.
A copy of the news release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
