Summary of Quarterly Results Second Fiscal Quarter 2018 Highlights − Net increase in net assets resulting from operations (i.e. net income) for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 was $656,649, resulting in an annualized return on equity of 12.5%. This compares to net income of $97,957 and an annualized return on equity of 7.0% for the quarter ended December 31, 2017. − For the quarter ended March 31, 2018, new middle-market investment commitments totaled $47.1 million in 13 portfolio companies. The fair value of investments as of March 31, 2018 was $42.8 million. Overall, total investments in portfolio companies at fair value increased by $25.7 million. The investment income yield1 for the three months ended March 31, 2018 was 8.9% as compared to 7.6% for the three months ended December 31, 2017. − On January 1, 2018, we closed on total investor capital subscriptions of $135.5 million. As of March 31, 2018, we had total investor capital subscriptions of $346.1 million and contributed capital of $33.2 million (9.6% called capital ratio). On April 1, 2018, we closed on additional capital subscriptions of $78.2 million, increasing total capital subscriptions to $424.3 million.
