Item 8.01. Other Events.
On May 14, 2018, First Choice Bancorp (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has received regulatory approval from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for its acquisition of Pacific Commerce Bancorp, and that the Federal Reserve Bank has waived the requirement for a separate merger application. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
