Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

On April 13, 2018, Bill D. Buchanan notified Merchants Bancorp (the “Company”) that he will resign as the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, effective April 27, 2018, in order to accept a position at another company.

 

The Company’s Chief Financial Officer, John F. Macke, will assume the title and responsibilities of the principal accounting officer upon Mr. Buchanan’s departure until a replacement is identified. Mr. Macke, 53, has served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer since July 2017 and previously served as Executive Vice President of Capital Markets and as Chief Financial Officer of Stonegate Mortgage Corporation.
