Item 8.01 Other Events.

On April 2, 2018 Bear State Financial, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it received all required regulatory approvals for its previously announced merger transaction with Arvest Bank.

A copy of the press release is attached and is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
