Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
From time to time, senior management of Pioneer Energy Services (the “Company”) meets with groups of investors and business analysts. The slides attached to this report have been prepared in connection with management's participation in such meetings and participation in the 18th Annual Simmons Energy Conference. The slides provide an update on the Company's operations and certain recent developments, which among others, include the following:
Fourth Quarter 2017 Highlights
Industry-leading U.S. drilling margin per day of $9,411.
In Colombia, the seventh drilling rig is preparing to mobilize to begin operations early in the second quarter.
Coiled tubing revenue increased 29%, and generated a gross margin of 24%.
Full-year 2017 Total Recordable Incident Rate of less than 1.0.
First Quarter 2018 Guidance
U.S. drilling utilization of 100% with average margins per day of $9,400 to $9,700.
International drilling utilization of 70% to 75% with average margins per day of $7,000 to $8,000.
Production services revenues up 10% to 15% sequentially with a gross margin of 24% to 26%.
