Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

Avangrid, Inc. (the “Corporation”) and its subsidiary Central Maine Power Company (“CMP”) issued a press release on February 16, 2018, announcing that CMP’s New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) transmission project has been selected by the Massachusetts electric utilities and the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources to move forward as the alternative if the Northern Pass Transmission project fails to win approval from the New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee by March 27, 2018. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
